Once here in Rocchetta Nervina, you just have to enjoy a dive into the crystal-clear waters of the Barbaira river, which so beautifully reflects the bright blue of the sky and the green of the surroundings, creating a uniquely wild and suggestive atmosphere. A bridge from Roman times introduces us to the ancient medieval village of Rocchetta composed of a labyrinth of tiny, partially covered streets, typically called the "carugi". Each year, around mid-August, the village will become the turning point of an enchanted world full of magic and mystery thanks to a travelling theatre group reciting and performing ancient fairy tales and local legends in the streets and squares of the village - a one of a kind entertainment for both adults and children not to be missed!

Dolceacqua today - rightly so - is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Liguria and even of all of Italy. Immediately upon arrival, this medieval village will fascinate its visitors with the remains of the impressive Castle of the Doria dominating on the hilltop overlooking a picturesque Roman bridge over the Nervia river - a bridge painted and brought to fame by the painter Monet. Time just seems to have stopped here centuries ago and, to the delight of the visiting tourists, the alleys of the historic centre are filled with a large number of shops selling typical and regional products and arts.

This popular activity also known as “Canyoneering” or “Kloofing” consists in the descent of a mountain stream and is proposed mainly in the months of May, June, July, August and September. Different techniques will be used to descend the canyons, alternating walking, swimming, down-climbing and dives into the stunning gorges and waterfalls.
